Why does my paintwork finish appear to have bits in it, and how can I fix it?
Blooming
Why does my paint work have a milky appearance to it, and how can I remove it?
Chalking
Sometimes a chalky white layer can appear on exterior walls. Whilst some exterior paints are designed to do just this, sometimes it can be the sign of an issue.
Cissing
Paint can sometimes appear to separate whilst being applied, with small craters appearing on the surface.
Cracking
Sometimes issues can occur with newly applied paint and cracks can appear on the surface.
Flashing
Flashing, or ‘the halo effect’, is when patches become visible on a painted surface in certain lights/angles.
Picture Framing
Sometimes paint work can appear a different colour around the wall edge.
Sagging
Sometimes paint can appear to droop down the wall in certain areas, leaving an uneven and rough finish.
Staining
Stains can appear across both solvent and water based products, causing a discolouration to the final finish.
